Education Impact Exchange (EIX) works with schools, nonprofits, universities, educational technology companies, and other organizations to investigate complex challenges, strengthen professional practice for learning, and develop meaningful learning experiences and technologies that support and inform practice.
We bring together research, practical experience, and collaborative inquiry to help organizations make informed decisions, build capacity, and create solutions that respond to the people they serve.
Good ideas begin with understanding.
The challenges facing educators and organizations rarely have simple answers. They involve people, relationships, established practices, evolving research, competing priorities, and changing conditions and cultures.
Meaningful progress begins by understanding what's happening, listening to those involved, and examining what research and experience can tell us.
That's how we work at EIX.
We partner with organizations to investigate questions, develop strategies, support implementation, and learn from what happens along the way.
Sometimes that work leads to new approaches to professional learning and classroom practice. Sometimes it produces tools or technologies. Often it requires both.
Whatever form the work takes, we stay close to the people, the questions, and the practical challenges of putting ideas into action.
The common thread is inquiry: using what we learn to inform what we do next.

Multilingual Learning & Literacy
Building on the language, knowledge, and experiences students bring.
Multilingual students bring rich linguistic and cultural resources into every classroom. Our work explores how educators and school systems can build on those resources to strengthen language development, literacy, participation, and academic learning across all subject areas.
Working alongside educators and leaders, we support instructional design, professional learning, coaching, and systemic approaches to multilingual education.
Our current work includes a Linguistic Approach to Early Literacy, dual language education, and emerging tools for examining student learning and growth.

Neurodivergence & Peopling
Understanding young people more deeply changes how we support them.
Peopling helps educators, school leaders, and families deepen their understanding of neurodivergent young people and the experiences that shape their learning, behavior, and relationships.
Through research-informed professional learning, reflection, and facilitated conversations, Peopling helps adults develop shared understanding and more coherent approaches to supporting young people across schools and homes.
Its learning experiences and professional resources invite adults to look beneath and around behavior, consider the perspective of the young person, and make more informed decisions about what to do next.

Cross-Sector Projects
Prezi (SAAS Company)
EIX helped Prezi understand how educators were adapting to remote learning during COVID and translate those insights into content, professional learning, and community. The work included the value and use of Prezi Video, instructional examples from real teachers using the products in contexts, video tutorials, educator community outreach, educator certification pathways, and development of the Prezi Educator Network to support teachers in using the platform more effectively in practice.
Tukwila School District (K-12 Public School District)
For the past six years, EIX Studio has partnered with Tukwila School District to strengthen and reshape its multilingual learner programming across classrooms, schools, and leadership. The work has included ML program strategy, dual language planning and implementation, leadership coaching, institutes, Learning Labs, and sustained professional learning. EIX has also helped the district build its own capacity to study practice through shadowing, walkthroughs, classroom-based data gathering, and collaborative reflection, so that decisions about instruction and programming are grounded in what students and teachers are actually experiencing.
The Steve Fund (nonprofit)
EIX Studio is working with The Steve Fund to design and develop online learning experiences for young people ages 16–24, with a particular focus on mental health and well-being among youth from underserved communities. The content is created for university audiences, where it can be facilitated and released at scale, and addresses topics such as digital peace, imposter phenomenon, relationships, and other challenges that shape how young people navigate school, identity, and everyday life.
